I hope you have all had a great Summer break.
As you know Miss Jobling and Mrs McCormack are your child’s class teachers.
The F2 children have had a fantastic first day. We just wanted to take this opportunity to say how much we are looking forward to the year ahead, and all the exciting activities we will be doing with your children inside and outside the classroom.
We also wanted to remind you of some of the information we discussed at the meeting before the Summer. Please call in if you have any questions. Thank You for your continued support.
Morning Routine
We want all the children to love school, and all the staff will support your children to make this a happy, enjoyable experience.
First task in the morning is to order dinner, the children will find their name, and post it into one of the boxes (dinner, jacket potato or packed lunch.)
Children will then join their group for their morning activity.
Wild Walk is on a Monday afternoon.
Children will come to school in their wild walk clothes, and then put on their waterproof trousers and wellies after lunch.
The welly bags are on your child’s peg.
PE is on a Thursday afternoon.
Children will come to school in their school uniform, and bring their PE kit in a bag and put it on their peg.
After lunch the children will get changed. All the grown-ups will help, and we would really appreciate you encouraging your children to get dressed and undressed independently at home.
A few more things-
- Friday is Library Day
- Activities will be sent home to support your child along their learning journey, we will send details out with all activities.
- We have 3 special class friends, Gruffalo, Paddington and Elmer and they will set your children challenges to do at home and bring into school to share.
