Year One provided the first Class Assembly of this term. They stole the show with work on Pirates, the Continents and then some amazing detail around the Great Fire of London. The children sang a brilliant pirate ditty – it didn’t manage to overshadow our School Song however as an unexpected soloist and MC took centre stage with a solo that was NOT on Miss Bennett’s original script at all! Thank you to the amazing audience who packed the School Hall – our #WonderfulCommunity out in force! Well done to Miss Bennett and Miss Mapplebeck for preparing the stars of the stage so brilliantly. The biggest congratulations to the children of course; we heard every word and are so proud of everyone in Year 1! A brilliant showcase, really well done.
