At West Meadows Primary School, we are fortunate to have a hot dinners service provided by our fantastic in-house catering team.
The lunches are prepared in school in our school kitchen on a daily basis. Pupils are provided with a choice of lunch each morning; the options being a traditional dinner, a jacket potato or a vegetarian dinner. Pupils can choose to have a school dinner on a daily basis. Please pay for your child’s dinner via the Arbor App.
Menus are determined a term ahead and made visible to pupils each morning. Please see the document below for up to date Menus for this term. Meals to celebrate special events are also offered and parents/carers will be notified of these events when they occur throughout the school year.
Packed Lunches
Pupils may bring a packed lunch to school. To support your child’s health and wellbeing, we ask that lunches are balanced and nutritious, giving them the energy they need to learn and play throughout the day.
A healthy lunch might include items such as
Please avoid sending in sweets, chocolate bars or fizzy drinks, as these can affect concentration and behaviour in school. By working together to promote healthy eating, we can help children develop good habits that will benefit them now and in the future.
Universal Free School Meals

Some pupils in Key Stage 2 are also eligible for free school meals. Please click here for further information and to download an application form.
