West Meadows Football team took part in two Football League fixtures at Stadio Del West Meadows. In the first game we defeated Tankersley 5:1 – at half time we were one down! A fantastic second half performance from the whole team! The second fixture ended in a 0:0 draw in the local derby against Hoyland Common. The game was a fantastic advert for junior football, two committed teams battling it out for the duration of the game, a fair result in a game where both teams cancelled each other out, a huge well done to both sides. All in all a great day for Football here at West Meadows, another 4 points notched, going into the final two league games after half term, we are really proud of our team, a real credit to themselves and school.
