What an amazing day in year 4. The children opened a Viking Restaurant, designed a menu and prepared and cooked a fabulous meal comprising of oat cakes and cheese, delicious, chunky chicken stew with homemade rustic bread, followed by freshly made pancakes with summer fruits, drizzled with honey and a sprinkling of icing sugar. The parents were extremely impressed with their children, who finished the day with Viking songs, fact files and superb war battle dances. Everyone was royally entertained. The children worked so hard and this was an excellent closing to our Viking topic. Thank you to our friends and families for your support and a special mention to the Year 4 Staff Team for their hard work throughout an excellent topic. Of course, the largest mention goes to the chefs! A great afternoon.
